Teen Sentenced on Murder Charge in Stabbing Death

A 17-year-old St. Cloud boy has been formally sentenced in a stabbing which killed a man in June. Muhiyadin Mohammed Hassan had earlier pleaded guilty to second degree unintentional murder in the death of 20-year-old Davee Devose.

Warrant Seeks Teen’s Cell Phone Records in Fatal Becker Crash

Authorities have filed a search warrant in Stearns County to examine the cell phone of a teenage girl they believe may have been driving in a crash that killed a father and his young daughter. Court documents say the 17-year-old girl refused to talk to investigators who came to St. Cloud Hospital after the crash last month.

Albany Man Hospitalized After One Vehicle Crash

An Albany man was hurt in a crash yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office say the one vehicle crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on County Road 154 in Albany Township, just north of Albany.

Spilled Sweet Corn Shuts Down Stearns County Road for Several Hours

An overturned truck carrying a load of sweet corn caused a Stearns County road to be shut down for several hours. The Sheriff's Office says it happened at about 5:00 p.m. yesterday (Thursday) on County Road 18, in Crow Lake Township, about three miles south of Brooten.

Urban Moose Brewing Co. Planned for Former Sauk Rapids Legion

The plan to bring a brewery to downtown Sauk Rapids is still being worked out, with a new location in mind. Roy Dodds, who owns Flying Pig Pizza, says he's entered into a purchase agreement to buy the former American Legion building on Benton Drive.
