Early Childhood Center Could be Built on Clark Field

The St. Cloud Area School District is considering options for a new early childhood center building, including one that would place it at Clark Field. Designs revealed by the district say the building on Clark Field would cost around $25.3 million. The proposed three level building would have 95,000 square feet of space and a 250 space parking lot.

Madison Elementary School Could Be Renovated

Madison Elementary in St. Cloud could see renovations in the future. The updates are expected to cost around $1-million. The first phase would happen this summer and includes adding two new classrooms, two special education rooms and more space to the kitchen area.

St. Joseph City Officials: 4-Year-Old Girl Saved Apartment Building

St. Joseph recognized a four-year-old girl who they say saved an apartment from being burned down.The incident happened back on February 24th. St. Joseph Police Chief Joel Klein says a grease fire started in the apartment with 4-year-old ShyAnn Jamison inside.

The longtime owner of the Sauk Rapids Herald has died. Roland "Rollie" Doroff died unexpectedly at his home on Easter Sunday at the age of 81.

UPDATE: St. Cloud Bingo Emporium Closed, Looking for New Location

The Bingo Emporium in St. Cloud has closed. The Bingo Emporium held their last bingo session at at 2820 1st Street South this past Saturday. Hall manager Bonnie Merkling says they lost their lease, because the building owner is taking over the space to expand his business.
