The three men are running to replace current Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, who is not seeking re-election. The Sixth District Candidate debate was hosted by the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce and the St. Cloud Rotary Club.

Cities in the St. Cloud area are facing a shortage of trucks for hauling road salt amid an extended construction season. Curt Yoakum of the state Administration Department says one of three vendors the state contracts with is having trouble getting salt to customers as construction runs late following a wet spring.
