Unemployment Rate in the St. Cloud Metro Rises in December

The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area went up in December. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says we were at 3.9 percent in December, that's up from the 3.3 percent we had in November.

An update for you on the stolen cab we told you about earlier today (Tuesday). Green Cab owner Brian Sluss says the van, which was taken from a Waite Park parking lot early this morning, has been recovered.

Holdingford Senior Zach Scott has been wrestling for thirteen years, five of which as a member of the varsity squad. Since making varsity during his eighth grade year Scott has been a winning wrestler. During the 2014 Big Bear Wrestling Classic Scott won his 150th match, and still has the rest of the season to keep winning.

St. Cloud State Students Relax With Music Therapy [VIDEO]

The World Drumming Group class at St. Cloud State University is leading drum circles to help students relax. Dr. Terry Vermillion is leading the class, and says this is a first step to getting a music therapy program at SCSU. The students are currently learning to improvise together.

St. Cloud, Charter Communications Close to New Agreement, Set Public Hearing

It appears the city of St. Cloud and Charter Communications are close to finally coming to terms on a new franchise agreement. During the city council meeting tonight (Monday) the council set a public hearing on the agreement for February 23rd. They also approved an extension of the existing agreement to that date.

St. Cloud City Council Approves Low Bid To Replace Paramount Seats

The St. Cloud City Council has approved a contract to replace the seats at the Paramount Theatre. The low bid of just over $342,000 has been awarded to Alliance Building Corporation of Sauk Rapids for the removal of the existing 704 seats, make some repairs to the floor, and install 808 new seats.

Police arrested a St. Cloud man who allegedly stabbed another man during an argument last week. Officers arrested 58-year-old James Cuthbert on Saturday in the 1000 block of Breckenridge Avenue.
