DULUTH -- Northeastern Minnesota is getting a new Congressman.

DFLer Rick Nolan defeated one-term Republican Congressman Chip Cravaack to become the next 8th District Congressman to represent Minnesota in Congress.

Minnesota News Network reporter Bill Werner says Cravaack called Nolan early Wednesday morning to concede defeat.

Cravaack unseated long-time DFL Congressman Jim Oberstar two years ago.

Nolan is a former Congressman from St. Cloud.
