Becker Man Selected To 2015 ‘Blue Angels’ Demo Team

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA – A Becker man has been named a “Blue Angel”.

Thirty-six year old Marine Major Mark Hamilton of Becker has been selected to join the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron the “Blue Angels”.

Hamilton is one of two C-130 Demonstration pilots. The Marine Corps pilots flying the C-130 Hercules aircraft, affectionately known as “Fat Albert,” must be aircraft commander qualified with at least 1,200 flight hours.

Officers were selected for the 2015 team yesterday (Tuesday), at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida, during the Pensacola Beach Air Show.

Hamilton is a 2000 graduate of Purdue University.
