April Snowstorm Continues in Central Minnesota [VIDEO]
ST. CLOUD - Several inches of snow are already on the ground as a Mid-April snowstorm continues to pummel Central Minnesota.
An estimated 4-7 inches of snow has already fallen in the St. Cloud area. A narrow band of 10 to 12 inches is possible in northeastern Minnesota.
The National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of central Minnesota through 4:00 a.m. Thursday. Stearns, Benton, Todd, and Morrison counties are included in the warning.
The weather is creating slippery conditions across the state. State Patrol Lieutenant Eric Roeske recently said on Twitter that since 3:00 a.m. troopers have been called to 137 crashes, 20 of the involving injury and one of them fatal.
Some good news: the snow probably won't stick around for long. Temperatures are expected to climb back into the 50's this weekend and the 60's next week.
