Albany Area Man Walks In On Burglar

ALBANY TOWNSHIP -- An Albany area man had an encounter with a would-be thief while checking on his father's home this morning.

The man told sheriff's deputies he went to check on his dad's place about a mile south of Albany when he found a man inside the home. The two struggled until the burglar escaped.

Authorities brought in a bloodhound to help track the man who is believed to have left in a vehicle.

The incident happened at about 10:45 a.m.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man.
