UNDATED - It's looking more and more like we're going to have a brown Christmas.  The question is, "is that good or bad?".

If you're dreaming of a White Christmas - keep dreaming.  We did have snow last month, but that's all melted, and we've only had a trace so far this month.  Meteorologists says we could see some light mixed precipitation this week, and we're still about a week and a half away from Christmas, but as of right now there's no major snowstorms on the horizon -- and temps will be above normal.

Depending who you talk to that may be a good thing, or maybe not.

U of M climatologist Mark Seeley says Minnesota is caught between a split in the upper-air jet stream which is keeping snowy, colder weather north of us - and stormy weather well to our south. Good news for mild weather lovers, but if you want a White Christmas -- keep dreaming.
