UNDATED -- Many Minnesota winter enthusiasts are feeling the blues these days because there's not enough snow. Snowmobiles are sitting idle and cross-country skis and snowshoes remain packed in garages.

DNR spokesman Amy Barrett says it's been a tough season for outdoor enthusiasts this winter, but she says there are plenty of other activities to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Barrett says there's winter hiking, naturalist activities and of course...ice fishing.

The DNR has programs listed on their website through an Online Calendar on the state parks page.

Barrett says there's still plenty of winter left and we tend to get a few snowstorms in February and March every year.
