3 St. Cloud Metro Area Schools Remind You of Closings Policies

UNDATED - The schools in the St. Cloud metro area are getting ready for winter.

Once again this year, The St. Cloud Area School District, Sartell-St. Stephen, and Sauk Rapids-Rice, as well as all of the parochial schools, will work with each other on a coordinated plan for school closings, late starts, or early outs.

The three metro area superintendents will make every effort to announce school closings, or late starts, by 10:00 p.m. the night before. When a morning emergency closing is necessary, they'll make every effort to announce the decision by 5:30 a.m.

In the event of an early dismissal, or a school closing, student activities and practices, including: KIDSTOP, Community Education Classes, Adult Basic Education, Early Childhood Classes, and Area Learning Center Classes will typically be canceled.
