ST. CLOUD - There will be absolutely no shortage of summertime outdoor festivities in St. Cloud this week.

St. Cloud is launching its 10th annual Granite City Days festivities on Thursday with the St. Cloud State University Lemonade Art Fair from11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Granite City Days opening ceremonies with a concert from the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at SCSU. St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis will also present his Rock on Awards.

"We're really looking forward to a great celebration kicking off on Thursday, as it's the traditional start of Granite City Days. Four days of free, fun, fabulous entertainment," Kleis says.

On Friday, you can enjoy canoe rides on the Beaver Island Trail from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Liberty Savings Block Party featuring Herman's Hermits will be at 5:00 p.m. at Whitney Park.

The new Gran Fondo Bike Ride will lead off the events on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at Lake George. The Granite City Days Parade will be at 10:00 a.m. through downtown St. Cloud. Sing! St. Cloud makes its return this year at Lake George at 5:00 p.m.

Sunday will lead off with the WJON Granite City Days/Scar Dolls 5k Run at 8:00 a.m. at Lake George. There will also be a fishing derby-outdoor expo and family fun day from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lake George.

The Civil Air Patrol will also be hosting their fly-in pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Cloud Airport.
