HUTCHINSON -- Another central Minnesota lake is infested with zebra mussels.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says a property owner found a zebra mussel attached to a native mussel in Lake Stella in Meeker County.

The DNR in Hutchinson confirmed that it was an adult zebra mussel. A second zebra mussel was also found and confirmed in the lake.

Lake Stella, and Lake Washington which is downstream, will both be designated as infested waters, although no zebra mussels have been found in Lake Washington.
