Xcel Energy Increases Cash Incentive For Recyling Refrigerators

UNDATED - Right now get $70 for that old refrigerator sitting in your basement or garage.

Xcel Energy has announced they're doubling the cash incentive for participating in the Refrigerator Recycling Program.  But the offer only lasts until the end of November.

The program is administered by Appliance Recycling Centers of America.  You will have your fridge picked-up free of charge, then your check will be mailed to you with three to four weeks.

Xcel Energy says you can see up to $100 in savings on your annual energy bill, by making the switch to a more energy efficient fridge.
