WINONA  (AP) -- Authorities in southeastern Minnesota are investigating the deaths of an elderly woman and a man. The bodies were found in a Winona home during the weekend.

Police say the 63-year-old man and 90-year-old woman were related.

Authorities say the man appeared to have died from a self-inflicted injury. Autopsies were expected to be done by the Ramsey County medical examiner.

A relative who had been unable to contact the two for several days called police Saturday asking officers to check on them.

Officers went to the home and found both bodies on the main floor.

They have not been identified.
