Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Monday, January 25, 2016 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud for William “Bill” A. Smoger, 56, of Minneapolis and formerly of St. Cloud who died unexpectedly on January 18, 2016. Rev. David Grundman and Rev. Peter Kirscher will concelebrate and burial will be in St. Marcus Cemetery, Clear Lake.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church on Monday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Bill was born October 7, 1959 in St. Cloud the son of Fred and Mary Ann (Anderson) Smoger. He attended Apollo High School, St. John’s University, and finished his Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Minnesota. Bill was currently working for South Side Health Community as an advisor, and, previously he spent two years in Alaska helping community members with health related issues. He enjoyed nature and capturing the beautiful composition with his excellent photography skills. Bill processed his film into gorgeous photographs, which his family was very proud of. He also enjoyed running marathons and climbing mountains. Although Bill had a quiet personality his heart was tender and full of life. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his father, Fred of St. Cloud; siblings, Mary Claire (John) Lawless of Oakdale, Sue Smoger of South Minneapolis, James (Gena) Smoger of Wheaton, David (Mary Jo) Smoger of St. Cloud; 8 nieces and nephews; and one great neice.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
