William B Hilbrich, 72, Saint Cloud

Private family services will be held at a later date for William B. Hilbrich, age 72, of St. Cloud, who passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Foley Nursing Center.

William was born on May 7, 1943 to Sylvester and Olive Marion (Bick) Hilbrich in Chicago, Illinois. He married Donna Lurvey in June 1967, they later divorced after 30 years of marriage. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Northern Illinois University and obtained his Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from St. Louis University. He worked as a Hospital Administrator with the V.A. Health Care System until the mid-1980s. He most recently worked and retired from Aria Communications in St. Cloud.

He enjoyed cooking and developing new recipes. His recipes could be found in cooking magazines or in the hands of complete strangers that he met at the grocery store. Earlier in his life, William enjoyed target shooting. He was a Boy Scout and also helped with his son’s Boy Scout Troop. He was an avid story teller and writer, and also enjoyed photography, especially nature scenes. William was a patient man with a good sense of humor.

He is survived by his children, Catherine and David (partner Randi Allen) Hilbrich.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
