WHITE BEAR LAKE (AP) - A medical examiner's report expected this week should shed more light on how a high school student died in a small community near the Twin Cities.

Sawyer Moeller was a freshman at White Bear Lake Area High School's North Campus. He died Friday, 11 days after he was injured at the school. First responders were called to the school Nov. 10 and found Moeller with what appeared to be a neck injury.

Police say there were no witnesses to the injury, but that it appears to be an accident.

School staff and other students say Moeller was a gifted singer and had performed in musicals in White Bear Lake.
