HASTINGS (AP) — A West St. Paul man has pleaded guilty in what prosecutors say was an alcohol-fueled joyride that turned deadly.

The Dakota County Attorney's office says 22-year-old Jon Devereaux pleaded guilty Friday to one count of criminal vehicular homicide and six counts of criminal vehicular operation.

Prosecutors say Devereaux was driving an SUV with seven passengers when it rolled and crashed last November in West St. Paul. One of the passengers, 21-year-old Robert Espinoza-Blaeser of West St. Paul, was thrown from the vehicle and died.

Sentencing is set for Aug. 13.
