Water Levels on Mississippi River to go Down Two-Feet
ST. CLOUD -- The water level of the Mississippi River will be lower over the next week.
The St. Cloud Public Utilities Department says there will be a two foot drawdown of the Mississippi River pool upstream of the St. Cloud Hydroelectric Facility. The drawdown is due to a leak in the cofferdam.
The water will be lowered Thursday at 12:00 p.m. and will return to normal levels by Thursday, January 19.
One more drawdown will be done in February as work wraps up on the spillway gate replacement project.
