Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids for Walter A. Molitor, age 97, who passed away Tuesday at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Walter was born Jan. 10, 1918 in Maine Prairie Township to Joseph & Elizabeth (Rausch) Molitor. He married Bernice Bidinger on May 11, 1944 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville. They moved to a Dairy Farm near Sauk Rapids in 1948 where he farmed until 1993. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Catholic Aid, and served on the Sauk Rapids Township Board. Walter enjoyed farming and playing cards with family and friends. After retirement he enjoyed watching game shows, attending auctions and Pioneer Days. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Walter was honest, hardworking, and had a deep faith.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Bernice of Sartell; children, Marlene of Sauk Rapids, Jerry (Linda) of Foley, Walter, Jr. (Shirley) of Foley, Roy (Sandy) of Sauk Rapids, Barney (Linda) of Sauk Rapids, Kathleen (Allan) Wollak of Rice, Ron (Tammy) of Sauk Rapids, Rick (Julie) of Holdingford, Randy (Mary Ann) of Sauk Rapids, Betty (Otto) Lamecker of Rochester and Ken (Kris) of Sauk Rapids; brother, Donald (Delores) of Rockville; sister-in-law, Alice of Rockville; 45 grandchildren, and 60 great grandchildren.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Molitor and Lorrella Loesch; brothers, Clifford, Victor and Francis; grandson, Kyle; and an infant granddaughter.

Memorials are preferred to Poor Clares Monastery.
