Waite Park Road Projects Getting Underway

WAITE PARK -- A Waite Park road construction project is getting underway this week.

The Stearns County Highway Department is implementing lane closures starting today on County Roads 137 and 135, also known as 7th Street South and 2nd Avenue South. The construction areas are near the Sundial Business Park and Discovery Elementary.

The lane closures are necessary as crews remove and replace the the current pavement. Curb and sidewalk replacement will also be completed at the intersection of County Roads 135 and 137.  The road will remain open to traffic but you should expect delays and consider alternate routes.

The entire project is expected to last about one month.
