Waite Park Man Arrested After Alleged Gun Incident

WAITE PARK - A 28-year-old Waite Park man has been arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at two people in a car.

Waite Park Police say the incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday (Tuesday) at the corner of 2nd Street and Waite Avenue South.

The man and woman say they were stopped, waiting to make a turn, when the suspect vehicle pulled up next to them.  The victims apparently made a comment about the suspects "nice car" when the suspect responded by spitting on the woman.  He then allegedly pointed a handgun equipped with a laser sight at them.

Officers found Brent Philippi on 54th Avenue in St. Cloud.  A handgun and a laser sight was recovered in his vehicle.  No one was hurt during the incident.
