Waite Park City Council Approves Viking Electric Warehouse Location [AUDIO]

WAITE PARK -- Viking Electric Supply is bringing their store to Waite Park.

Tonight (Monday) the city council unanimously approved for the business to open a retail store and warehouse.

The company is in the business of making electrical supplies for contractors.

The warehouse would be located at 625 1st Street South in Waite Park.

City Administrator Shaunna Johnson says the company now needs to submit plans for approval and...

Inventure Properties currently owns the land where Viking Electric wants to build. The property was originally zoned for multifamily housing, which was split in two.

Lot one would remain multifamily housing and lot two would be a B-2 General Use property.

Johnson says once the paper work is approved, construction can begin on the 25,000 square foot facility.

Viking Electric has businesses in Brainerd and the Twin Cities.
