Vikings Peterson Has Sports Hernia Surgery
Viking running back had sports hernia surgery today and revealed he sustained the injury in week 10 and played the rest of the season with the injury. Peterson led the NFL in rushing in 2012 running for 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns. The 2,097 yards rushing was the 2nd best rushing total in a season in the NFL. Peterson is expected to recover in time for minicamps in May.
Viking center John Sullivan had microfracture surgery on his knee and he’s expected to be sidelined until the start of training camp in August.
