Victim Of Fatal Minneapolis Club Shooting Identified
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have released the name of a 27-year-old man fatally shot inside a Minneapolis nightclub last weekend.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office identifies the victim as Tyrone Washington Jr. of Brooklyn Park.
The medical examiner says Washington died of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Washington was shot inside Epic nightclub, in the Minneapolis Warehouse District. Police were called around 1 a.m. Sunday and arrived to find the victim on the sidewalk outside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokeswoman says investigators are working to identify a suspect.
Rapper Yo Gotti was performing at Epic on Saturday night. The shooting happened an hour before the bar closed.
