Utility Work Causing Traffic Slow-downs in East St. Cloud
ST. CLOUD — The Minnesota Department of Transportation’s road work on Highway 23 in east St. Cloud is causing traffic headaches this afternoon.
Traffic is “stop and go” or worse for blocks around a short stretch of Highway 23 where traffic is detoured via Wilson Avenue, East St. Germain and Lincoln Avenue.
MnDOT is replacing the pedestrian bridge over Highway 23 and has closed a portion of Highway 23 between Lincoln Avenue and Wilson Avenue through Tuesday morning.
The detour is necessary so crews can relocate utilities underneath the road.
Expect delays for several blocks around the construction area.
