MINNEAPOLIS - The brother of a Minnesota congressman was killed during a powerful storm in northeastern Minnesota.

Cook County Sheriff's Office said the 43-year-old man killed by a falling tree in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday was Craig Walz.

A spokeswoman for Democratic U.S. Rep. Tim Walz confirmed the death Monday.

Authorities say Craig Walz and his teenage son were camping at Duncan Lake for Father's Day when the storm began. Powerful winds knocked a tree onto their tent.
Craig Walz's son was also severely injured in the incident, taken to a hospital and later airlifted to Duluth. There was no immediate word on his condition.

The pair was also camping with another man and his son.
