UPS Hiring More Than 1,200 For Holiday Season In Twin Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - UPS says it's hiring about 1,260 people in the Twin Cities area as it gears up for holiday shipping.

The company says the seasonal and permanent jobs include part-time package handlers, drivers and driver helpers. Pay range is from $10.15 to $28.00 per hour.

Nationwide, UPS will hire about 95,000 people for the holiday shipping season. The company says 37 percent of people hired in recent years for seasonal work stayed with the company on a permanent basis after the holidays.

Permanent UPS jobs, including part-time positions, come with health care and retirement benefits. The company says it's hiring at its facilities on Broadway in Minneapolis and in Eagan and Maple Grove.
