UPDATE: 5 Released From Hospital After St. Cloud Crash
ST. CLOUD, (AP) – Four children and the school bus driver who were hospitalized following a collision with a taxi Monday morning have been released from St. Cloud Hospital.
Hospital spokeswoman Jeanine Nistler says they were released by 1 p.m. after being treated for “bumps and bruises.”
Two of those hospitalized were children riding in the school bus. The 40-year-old bus driver was also hospitalized. Two more children hospitalized were riding in the taxi, which police say ran a stop sign and hit the side of the bus, sending it crashing into a duplex. The taxi driver was injured and cited for failing to stop at a stop sign. His driving record includes three speeding citations.
All of the children were being taken to Talahi Elementary School before the crash happened.
