UPDATE: 2 People Identified In Fatal Crash in Kandiyohi County

PENNOCK -- One man is dead and another suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash this morning in Kandiyohi County.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 34-year-old Shawn C. Murphy of Graceville died in the crash and 48-year-old Ronald J. Bloomquist of Kandiyohi is in serious condition.

The crash that happened just before 7:00 a.m. on Highway 12 west of Pennock.

Deputies say a white 2003 Cadillac Deville driven by Murphy was traveling east on Highway 12 when the car crossed the center line and into the oncoming lanes.

The Cadillac made head on contact with a 2014 Freightliner Semi driven by Bloomquist traveling west.
