ST. CLOUD -- Two teenage boys are in police custody after a south St. Cloud burglary early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 800 block of 8th Street South just before 2:00 a.m. on a burglary complaint. A 24-year-old female renter told a dispatcher she heard voices inside the house and saw one of the suspects try to enter her bedroom. The boy fled when he saw the woman.

Responding officers saw two teens matching the description standing with backpacks in a nearby yard. One of the suspects fled on a bike and was ultimately tased by police before being arrested.

Police say the 17-year-old had items taken in the burglary on him and also had a stolen 9mm handgun in his pants pocket. The teen was on a stolen bike and also was wanted on a felony warrant for 1st degree burglary.

Police also caught up with a 15-year-old suspect who had stolen items and several active warrants for his arrest.

The investigation revealed the teens forced their way in through a lower level window.

The teens are jailed facing several charges in the case and from outstanding warrants.
