Authorities are investigating two church burglaries to see if they're related. The Benton County Sheriff's office reports that, between Saturday, February 26th and Sunday the 27th, someone forced open a door to St. John's Catholic School in Foley and stole several items from the school office.

Also on February 27th, between 10:30 a.m and 11:30 a.m. someone stole checks and cash collected during a Sunday service at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church, also in Foley.

A possible suspect was seen inside the church around the time of the theft, and is described as a white male with short dark hair.

Both churches have recently held publicized fundraisers, and The Benton County Sheriff's office is suggesting that other organizations hosting fundraisers keep their money in a secure place.

Anyone with information about either of these crimes is asked to call the Benton County Sheriff's Office or Tri-County Crime Stoppers.
