Two Assaulted, Robbed on St. Cloud’s Southside

ST. CLOUD -- Two people were assaulted and one of them robbed while they were walking down a St. Cloud street Monday night.

Police say it happened just after 10:00 p.m. near 9th Avenue South and 7th Street South.

Police say a 50-year-old Sartell man and a 42-year-old Sturgeon Lake woman were approached by two young black men.

The victims say one man punched the Sartell man in the face and the other stole his backpack containing various personal items.

The second suspect then punched the woman in the face.  She was treated  at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

One of the men was wearing a red t-shirt and had dreadlocks.  The other was wearing a white t-shirts and black shorts.
