The Twins are calling up shortstop Trevor Plouffe and outfielder Ben Revere from triple-A Rochester.  Plouffe takes Jim Thome’s roster spot.  Thome was placed on the 15-day disabled list with an oblique injury.  Revere is expected to take Jason Repko’s roster spot.  Repko is expected to go on the disabled list today.  Plouffe may be given the chance to be the everyday shortstop with Alexi Casilla moving to 2nd base.  Plouffe is a former first round draft pick and is hitting .282 with 6 homeruns and 13 RBIs at triple-A.  Revere is hitting .293 with 7 stolen bases at triple-A.
