ST. CLOUD - The annual KVSC trivia weekend is set to begin with a theme that is out of this world.

"Trivia 2013: A Space Oddity" is marking the 34th year of the competition.

The 50-hour sleep-less marathon kicks off tomorrow (Friday) pitting teams against each other that include members as far away as Ireland, Norway and Kuwait City.

Teams will be tested with questions about pop culture, science, history and more. Trivia weekend has grown significantly over the years.

Hundreds of volunteers are expected to help answer phones, while enjoying food donated by area restaurants. The contest wraps up Sunday with the presentation of the Minnesota Masters of Trivia Traveling Trophy.
