Tribute Ride To Visit Rice Family On Saturday

Tribute to the Troops

RICE – A motorcycle ride will be held this weekend to honor Minnesota’s fallen soldiers.  The 8th Annual “Tribute To The Troops” motorcycle ride will start this (Friday) morning in front of the State Capitol.

Families in eight communities will be visited this year, including Rice.  The riders are expected to arrive in Rice sometime on Saturday.  They’ll be stopping at the home of Jonathon Manea’s family.  Manea served in the Army had had tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  He died on August 6th in 2009.

The ride will conclude with a benefit concert on Sunday night at the Medina Entertainment Center.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the “Tribute To The Troops Fallen Heroes’ Children’s Education Fund”.
