Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2015 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake for Thomas R. Bemboom, age 88, who passed away Tuesday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Thomas Becker will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Thomas R. Bemboom was born Jan. 12, 1926 in Mayhew Lake to Gerhard & Margaret (Walz) Bemboom. He married Margaret “Marjorie” Griesch on Aug. 24, 1948 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Mayhew Lake. Tom was a farmer and also was a telephone lineman in the 1940’s. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He served on the Benton County Soil & Water Conservation District Board. Tom enjoyed ice fishing and working with wood. He was very witty and liked to sing.

Survivors include his children, Sandra (Alan) Herbst of Sartell, Donna (Tom) Mrozek of St. Cloud, Nancy Hanson of St. Cloud, Debi (Chuck) Beckley of Fairbanks, AK, Jim (Diane) of St. Cloud, Rodney of Sauk Rapids, Terry (Leslie Newman) of Clear Lake and Bonnie of Foley; 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie on Feb. 20, 2008; son, Duane on Aug. 3, 2011; brothers, Lawrence, Ray, Mark and Joe; and sisters, Roselyn Evans, Marcella Zimmer, Marian Zimmer and Marjorie Rajkowski.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Community for the wonderful care given to Tom. It was a great comfort to his family and they are very grateful.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
