The Weekender: Beatles Tributes, Pride Weekend, & More

Fans of The Beatles have a great weekend with back-to-back nights of tributes, central Minnesota will celebrate Pride Weekend in St. Cloud, a winner of the reality show The Voice visits Minnesota, and you can experience a "walking play" with two of America's greatest writers at St. John's Abbey Arboretum. Here's an opportunity for Beatles fans to hear some of their favorite tunes with a unique sound. The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra is performing a Beatles Tribute at Ritsche Auditorium on the campus of St. Cloud State University. Local musicians in the orchestra will be performing such classics as "Eleanor Rigby", "All You Need is Love", and "Hey Jude" and tickets are just $5.

Pride Weekend
St. Cloud
The annual Pride Weekend is being celebrated this weekend in St. Cloud. Events get started Friday night with Club Pride at Atwood Memorial Center and a burlesque show at Pioneer Place. Saturday has food, music and games at Pride in the Park at Lake George in the afternoon and a drag show at the River's Edge Convention Center at 7:00 p.m.

Country singer Craig Wayne Boyd will perform at the Medina Entertainment Center on Friday. Boyd is best known for winning season seven of the hit NBC show The Voice. Fans of country rock music will have a blast at this 21+ show that also features the band Maiden Dixie.

Nature for the Nation
St. John's Abbey Arboretum
You can bring the family out to St. John's University for a truly unique experience that combines history and the landscape with Nature for the Nation. This "walking play" is inspired by the works of Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau as they take you on a journey through the natural beauty of the Abbey Arboretum. Nature for the Nation is only going on this weekend with tickets costing $22 with discounts for seniors and students.
