Take a Day Off on the Mississippi River [AUDIO]

I talked with Katie Winkelman who is a Soil Conservationist for the Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District today about their upcoming "Take a Day Off" on the Mississippi event August 1.  She discussed the family friendly free events that are planning which includes kayaking and canoeing down the Mississippi River.

The event will take place Stearns County Mississippi River Park - 41300 County Road 1, Rice MN 56367 (seven miles North of Sartell), from 10am to 4pm and is rain or shine.  No experience is needed and there is no cost for the event.  Lunch will be available for purchase.   To learn more go to takeadayoff.org.
