St. John's Basketball

The St. John's basketball team lost 82-52 at UW-Stevens Point Tuesday night. Alex Schmitt led the Johnnies with 16 points and Kuck Mitchell had 11 points. St. John's shot 35 percent from the field, committed 24 turnovers and were out-rebounded 39-28.

The St. John's basketball team won 47-45 in Minneapolis against Augsburg Wednesday night in the MIAC tournament quarterfinals. The Johnnies are seeded 5th while Augsburg is seeded 4th. Andy Burns made the buzzer beater to lift the Johnnies to the win. Burns finished with 14 points and Aaron Barmore had 10 points and 10 rebounds for St. John's.

The St. John's hockey team is seeded 3rd in the upcoming MIAC men's hockey tournament and will play at 2nd seeded Gustavus Saturday at 7:30pm. St. John's finished the regular season with a 9-7-0 record in the MIAC and 11-12-2 overall mark.

The St. John's basketball team defeated Macalester 63-53 Wednesday night. Seth Marx led the Johnnies with 16 points and Aaron Barmore had 15 points. St. John's shot 45 percent and Macalester shot 39 percent. St. John's is 14-10 overall and 10-9 in the MIAC.

The St. John's basketball team lost 58-40 at home against Gustavus Monday night. St. John's trailed by 3 at halftime and was outscored 32-17 in the 2nd half. Patrick Butcher led the Johnnies with 10 points. St. John's shot just 34 percent from the field while Gustavus shot 51 percent.

Bethel beat St. John's 67-63 Wednesday night. Andy Burns led the Johnnies with 18 points, Aaron Barmore added 13 points and Seth Marx added 11 points. Bethel out-rebounded the Johnnies 33-25.

The St. John's basketball won at St. Thomas 61-56 Wednesday night to complete a season sweep of the Tommies. Aaron Barmore led the Johnnies with 22 points. St. John's shot 47 percent from the field and the Johnnies outrebounded St. Thomas 31-24.

The St. John's basketball downed St. Mary's 64-50 Wednesday night. Andy Burns led the Johnnies with 19 points and Aaron Barmore added 16 points for St. John's. St. John's shot 51 percent from the field while St. Mary's shot 44 percent.

The St. John's basketball team lost 65-49 at home against Augsburg Wednesday night. Aaron Barmore led the Johnnies with 10 points. St. John's was outrebounded 47-14. Augsburg committed 22 turnovers compared to 11 for the Johnnies. Tyler Schmidt led the Auggies with 24 points.

The St. John's basketball team defeated Macalester 68-50 Monday night. Aaron Barmore led the Johnnies with 27 points and both Andy Burns and Chris Neumann added 12 points for St. John's. The Johnnies outrebounded the Scots 36-28 and shot 47 percent.
