Melrose native Amanda (Thieschafer) Smock has qualified for the Olympics later this summer in London. Twenty-nine year old Smock won the triple jump this (Monday) evening at the U.S. Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon.
A Melrose native will be competing for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Track and Field team tonight (Monday). Amanda (Thieschafer) Smock is in first place in the triple jump after the preliminary round on Saturday.
