T-Wolves’ Love Is NBA 2nd Team
Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been named to the All NBA 2nd team. Love averaged 26 points and 13.3 rebounds a game in 2011-2012. Love led the NBA in double-doubles (48), finished 2nd in minutes played (39.0 mpg) and was fourth in free-throws made (379). Love is joined on the 2nd team by guards Russell Westbrook and Tony Parker, center Andrew Bynum and forward Blake Griffin.
Timberwolves Lose to Clippers Without Love
The Timberwolves lost 95-82 at home against the L.A. Clippers Thursday night. The loss is the 8th in a row for Minnesota and drops their record to 25-35. Kevin Love did not play because of a mild concussion and neck strain. Love returned to Minnesota after spending the night at a Denver area hospital Wednesday night after being hit in the head by the elbow of Javele McGee of the Denver Nuggets.
T-Wolves Lose at Denver; Love Knocked Out
The Timberwolves lost 113-107 at Denver Wednesday night and lost forward Kevin Love in the process. Love was elbowed in the head by Denver center Javale McGee and was briefly knocked out. He lay motionless for a moment before being helped off the court in the first quarter. He did not return and was kept overnight at a Denver area hospital for precautionary reasons. Love was diagnosed with a mild concussion and strained neck.
Suns Eclipse Timberwolves 114-90
The Timberwolves lose their 6th straight game 114-90 at home against Phoenix Monday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 25 points and 13 rebounds and J.J. Barea added 16 points for Minnesota. Markieff Morris led the Suns with 21 points. The Wolves shot just 38 percent while Phoenix shot 57 percent.
Hornets Beat Timberwolves 99-90
The Timberwolves lost 99-90 to the New Orleans Hornets Saturday night. Kevin Love had 29 points and 12 rebounds and Michael Beasley returned to score 20 points off the bench. Minnesota has lost 5 straight games and is now 25-32. New Orleans has the worst record in the Western Conference with just 15 wins.
Timberwolves Lose 97-94 to Golden State
The Timberwolves lost 97-94 at home against Golden State Wednesday night. Minnesota led by 20 in the 3rd quarter and coughed up the lead. Head Coach Rick Adelman said after the game the Wolves allowed the Warriors back in the game. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 29 points and 12 rebounds, Wayne Ellington added 17 points and J.J. Barea chipped in 15 points and 8 assists in 37 minutes. Barea had been out with a bruised quadriceps.
Timberwolves Lose at Sacramento 116-108
The Timberwolves lost 116-108 at Sacramento Monday night. The loss is the 3rd straight for Minnesota. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 23 points and 7 rebounds and Nikola Pekovic had 17 points in 19 minutes coming back from a foot injury. Luke Ridnour left the game early for the Wolves with an ankle injury. The severity of the injury isn't known yet.
T-Wolves Lose 119-106 To Portland
The Timberwolves lost 119-106 at Portland Sunday night. Kevin Love led the Wolves with 26 points and 9 rebounds and both Derrick Williams and Luke Ridnour each scored 21 points. Minnesota shot 46 percent from the field while Portland shot 52 percent. The Wolves played without Michael Beasley, Nikola Pekovic and J.J. Barea all out with injuries.
