St. Cloud Police Alert Residents Of Sex Offender
June 20, 2011 A level 3 sex offender has moved into the St. Cloud community. Douglas Felix moved to a home in the 1300 block of Maine Prairie Road in St. Cloud last week. Felix had previously lived at that address, and a community notification meeting was held back in 2008 -- therefore a notification meeting will not be held now.

Private Prison Legislation Draws Strong Opposition
March 25, 2011 The idea of a private prison in Minnesota is running into considerable opposition. The proposed House bill requires the Department of Corrections to solicit bids from private companies that want to house the state's inmates. Gov. Mark Dayton' new appointee to head the Department of Corrections, Commissioner Tom Roy, says state prisons should remain in the public sector.
