Alexandria Ice Fishing Challenge

Organizers of a central Minnesota ice fishing tournament that turned up no fish say they will roll the cash prizes forward to next year. Organizers of the 2011 Alexandria Ice Fishing Challenge on Lake Agnes also say next year's event will be moved to a new location.

Thousands of anglers turned out for the 11th annual Alexandria Ice Fishing Challenge over the weekend, but the fish stayed away. About 2,200 anglers came to Lake Agnes in Alexandria Saturday for what is billed as Minnesota's second-largest ice fishing tournament. But remarkably, no one caught a fish during the three-hour contest.

The 2nd biggest ice fishing tournament in the state will be held this weekend in Alexandria. The 11th annual "Alexandria Ice Fishing Challenge" is Saturday on Lake Agnes. This is a new location for the tournament.
