MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police say an SUV ran a red light and slammed into a school bus, causing the nearly empty bus to spin out and smash into a house. The only reports of injuries were to two people in the SUV.

The crash occurred Tuesday about 8:20 a.m. White smoke was coming from the bus, which was eventually towed away.

Police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington says the two people on board the Minneapolis School District bus were the driver and a young boy, neither of whom was hurt.

She says a man and woman in the SUV were taken to a hospital in "some pain" but their injuries didn't appear to be serious.

There were no reports of injuries to anyone in the home.
