Strong Pitching Leads Rox Past Stingers 2-1

WILLMAR -- A strong outing by the St. Cloud Rox pitching staff helped get the job done for the 2-1 victory last night (Friday) against the Willmar Stingers.

Rox starting pitcher Domenick Carlini was firing on all cylinders going six strong innings allowing just one run on two hits, while striking out six batters.

St. Cloud was able to break the 1-1 tie in the 8th inning. The Rox had runners in scoring position setting up Liam Bedford's single into left which knocked in a run and gave the Rox the 2-1 lead.

Both teams square off again tonight (Saturday) in Willmar. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
