ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) – Police say a young teen stole an idling school bus and later crashed it in Roseville.

Authorities say the school bus owned by Centerline Charters of Maplewood, was left running at a St. Paul gas station Monday morning when the boy jumped on board. Police say he took it on a two-mile ride before he was apprehended by police.

The bus was empty at the time of the theft.

The bus driver had stopped for coffee at the gas station around 7:50 a.m. She immediately called her boss, and the bus company activated the onboard GPS to track it town.

The joyride ended when the 14-year-old boy crashed the bus at another gas station in Roseville.
