ST. CLOUD -- Six people will be interviewing to fill an open seat on the St. Cloud City Council.

City Clerk Gregg Engdahl says Steven Baklaich submitted his application just before today's (Thursday's) deadline. Baklaich joins Emily Esch and Seal Dwyer who also turned in their complete applications today (Thursday). The other three candidates are Sonja Berg, Steve Laraway, and Nick Hall.

The six are looking to fill the seat in Ward 2 left vacant when Nancy Gohman resigned from the council May 26th.

The city council will select someone to fill the seat next Tuesday. That person will sit on the council until the next citywide election, which is in November of next year.
