Stearns to Hold Public Meetings on Transportation Funding

WAITE PARK -- Stearns County will be holding public input meetings over the next few weeks about transportation funding options.

The county is considering raising the wheelage tax or implementing a transportation sales tax. The current wheelage tax is a $10 fee you pay when you buy your vehicle license tabs. A transportation sales tax is an additional tax on automotive parts.

-- Tuesday, May 9th at the Stearns County Public Works Building in Waite Park at 7:00 p.m.
-- Thursday at Albany City Hall, 6:00 p.m.
-- Monday, May 15th at Richmond City Hall, 6:00 p.m.
-- Thursday, May 18th at Sauk Centre City Hall, 6:00 p.m.
-- Monday, May 22nd at Belgrade City Hall, 6:00 p.m.
